Is it really free?
Yes. The site is supported by ads, so the converter is free to use.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Once the page has loaded you could even disconnect from the internet and keep converting (except for rare formats that need a one-time download of the converter engine).
Which formats are supported?
Common audio formats (WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus, WMA, AIFF, AMR) and video formats (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, FLV, 3GP). If a file has an audio track, we can almost always turn it into an MP3.
Which bitrate should I choose?
192 kbps sounds great for most music and podcasts. Choose 320 kbps if you want the highest quality, or 128 kbps for spoken word and smaller files.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 1 GB are accepted. Very large files depend on your device’s memory; on phones, smaller files work best.
Can I convert YouTube or other online videos?
No. Anything to MP3 only converts files you already have on your device. Please only convert content you own or have permission to use.
